New and exciting things are coming to Pilot Knob Animal Hospital!
We are delighted to introduce the newest members of our PKAH family: Bretton, Kate, and Jenny!
Bretton is our newest Certified Vet Tech. She graduated from Michigan State University’s veterinary technology program in 2007 and recently moved to Minnesota. Bretton loves working with owners and their companions to ensure only the best care is provided to their pet. She also has a special interest in feline medicine and loves working with cats. In her spare time, Bretton enjoys gardening, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and of course, her furry companions. She currently has 4 cats (Whiskers, Cash, Uhuru, and Boots). All of them have helped Bretton better understand her feline patients and help make her a better technician.
Kate graduated from Argosy University in 2011. She started working at PKAH as a receptionist in May of 2014. Kate enjoys answering client questions and interacting with people and their pets. In her spare time, Kate enjoys reading, crafts, and taking fun classes with her cocker spaniel “Boomer” including agility, lure coursing, and scent work.
Jenny graduated from Penn Foster in 2006 with a 2-year associate’s degree as a veterinary assistant. She is also a dog trainer. She has 3 cats (Rauw Cat, Whitesox and Penner). In her spare time, Jenny loves to cook and watch Nascar with her kitties.
We are also eager to introduce our new Food Program to complement our switch to Royal Canin Prescription Diet Formulas! We now have punch cards available that allow you to buy 9 bags or cases of food, and get $10 off your 10th bag or case! Ask our staff to get started with your food purchase today! Royal Canin has been shown to have higher palpability with additional health benefits including antioxidants and omega-3s so your pet will enjoy the new diet while reaping the benefits! These diets are also more comprehensive than other prescription diet brands and can address multiple body systems while maintaining focus on your pet’s specific health concerns.
Finally, we are very excited to invite you to our very first open-house Saturday, September 20th from 1-4pm! We are celebrating over 25 years of service with lots of family-friendly entertainment, dessert & drinks, informational booths, tours, and more! Be sure to mark your calendars for a fun-filled afternoon with your PKAH family!

When the City of Eagan impound animals don't get reunited with their owners, we contact animal rescues to try and find them homes. When the animal rescues are full or aren't able to take these animals, we keep them here at the hospital until we can find them a home. To help make these animals more adoptable, we sterilize, vaccinate, and feline leukemia or heartworm test them. We use donations to cover our costs for supplies as our services are provided pro bono.
If you're looking for an animal cause to give money to, please consider adding to the donation fund at Pilot Knob Animal Hospital. We also accept non-monetary donations such as food, treats, blankets, beds, and other pet supplies.
Thank you for your generosity. Have a happy holiday season!!
