“It’s hard to believe that 14 years ago Mimi was the last chosen kitten from her littermates to be adopted. We feel very fortunate that she waited for us. Mimi’s mother was a rescue cat that our 4H club fostered, and I may be biased, but I think she is strikingly beautiful. Mimi is more than her beauty though. She is incredibly bright, she seemed to intuitively understand from her kittenhood that guinea pigs, pet rats, baby chicks, and leopard geckos are pets and not to be hunted. She also has the uncanny ability to communicate with us using her eyes, maintaining eye contact and tapping us on the shoulders as we walk by her letting us know she’d like us to follow her. We love her.”
